How to insert an image at its original size

Sometimes images don't look the way you expect them to. You might insert an image from Media and it might look too big, "pixelated", stretched or distorted. This is not necessarily an error or bug, but a side effect of the image resizing feature.

MODO checks the image and automatically limits the width in order to maintain your page design. There are some cases however, when you need the original image to be shown at its default size. There is a value that you can append to the URL article (/orig/1) when you are choosing an image to insert into your article (see the image example below: Facebook logo).

If you know the original dimensions you can control the size by going to Content > Edit article>Appearance Tab and enter the pixel width and height. Alternately, you can also remove the dimensions altogether to show image at its original size.

The resulting image URL should look like this: /image/file/id/2/width/250/orig/1
