Inserting Media into your Content

In addition to images, you can also add other types of media, such as video, audio or PDF files, to your MODO website.

Adding media files can be completed in two quick steps:

1.      Upload your files to the MODO Media Centre. For more details on how to work with the Media Centre, check out Adding Images to your Content in the Knowledge Base.

2.      Insert them into your content using the Link function in the Edit Article window.

 

Inserting Media into your Web Pages

  1. From the Dashboard, click the Content icon (), located under the MODO Components section, and select the page you want to work with from the navigation menu.
  2. Hover your mouse over the Publish icon () of the content box in which you want to insert your image and click the Edit icon ().
  3. In the Edit Article window, highlight the text or click to select an image to which you’d like to link the media file.
  4. Click the Insert/Edit Link icon ().
  5. Click the Existing File drop-down menu. A list of files from the Media Centre will appear.
  6. Select the file you’d like to insert.
  7. From the Target drop down menu, select Open in this window or Open in new window
  8. Enter a title for the file in the Title field.
  9. Click [Insert].

    When clicked, the selected text or image in your content box will launch the file with the users default media player.
