Pages Overview

Adding, editing and deleting web pages on your MODOcms website couldn’t be easier thanks to the simple and intuitive Pages Mode, accessible from the Dashboard or the MODO Toolbar.

MODOcms is made up of the following types of web pages:

Top-Level Pages:  These are your website’s main pages, such as your Home and News pages, which appear in the navigation menu. Top-level pages are highlighted in blue on the Pages mode screen.

Sub-Pages:  These are secondary pages which are attached to one of your top-level pages or another sub-page in your site’s navigation. Sub-pages are accessed via the navigation button of the page to which they’re attached. Sub-pages are highlighted in green on the Pages mode screen.

System Pages:  System pages include pages such as the Contact Form and Site Map. See the System Pages Help category for more information.

Pages mode allows you to do the following:

Add new top-level pages (up to your plan limit).

Add Sub-Pages (up to your plan limit).

Delete pages

Edit page content

Edit page properties

Re-Order Pages in your site’s navigation

Publish and unpublish pages

Page Limits

There is a limit on how many pages you can add to your website, which is based on the MODOcms package you’ve chosen.

Feature Lock

Some features will be locked on certain pages. This is indicated by the Lock icon () on the Pages mode window. The locked features are internal MODO functions that help your website run smoothly. You can unlock these features by enabling advanced mode in Preferences, but we only suggest doing this if you know how MODO works internally.
